It's impossible to do anything online without running into a picture of an aww-inducing kitten, baby otter, or other painfully cute animal. Distracting as those pictures may seem, there's a reason to keep looking: Scientists recently proved that all those painfully adorable animal photos aren't distracting you at all — they're actually aiding in your concentration.

If you look at it logically, cannibalism has great potential to simultaneously solve our overpopulation and food shortage problems.

Scientifically proven?  Eh, not yet.

This is interesting, though.

They certainly do increase the level of feel-good hormones in the brain... for me, anyway.  Same with a good laugh.  Stuff like that really is good for you.

While reading this thread (or the title), my brother had pointed out that this could be true because they make you think about all the good things in the world, even in times where it's so difficult.

The article says that those who look at pictures of kittens frequently were able to concentrate at even a children's board game of Operation, and despite being slow, they consider their work delicate as the kittens they look. Even so, that's one other good look at how your mind on kittens work.

How about we say this?

You're more productive and attentive when you feel good as opposed to when you feel bad.
