Gohmert reckons that ISIS is going to use trans people in the military to recruit all those patriarchal, western hating Islamists they didn't get the first time because trans people are like, so yucky. (https://thinkprogress.org/gohmer-trans-soldiers-4a721a8d59fb)

Apparently "friendly Muslims" told him this.
Because he has Muslim friends.

Me thinks ISIS isn't the concern, but generalized transphobia being pushed by islamophobia.

So transsexuals give Gohmert a bad case of the vapors? And yet, between Gitmo, many abuses against Islamic POWs, and rampant Islamophobia by insecure sorts all being recruitment points, even the crickets are quiet.
And it's kind of hard to make friends when you keep turning their homes into rubble...
