Been quite a good week actually.

Modernising processes and hardware refreshing old bits of kit that my workplace has been relying on for a couple of decades.  Highlight was rewriting a bespoke EXE file that had been used for batch printing a few million worth of invoices every month.  The old one was a 16-bit dinosaur running on a knackered old windows vista laptop.

It's now a scheduled task on the print server.  Bit less 90s chic.

I've played the first two zones of Sonic Mania, and Jim Sterling is 100% correct about it.  Its not just the Sonic game that the franchise desperately needed, its the sequel Sonic 3 & Knuckles never got.  Its pretty, its simple, and its fun.  Sega, take note: the indie scene knows how to make a Sonic game a hell of a lot better than Sonic Team ever fucking did.

So, I'm giving up Let's Playing, and I have to say, I'm not at all sad about it it was fun while it lasted but when no one watches your crap and you spend hours on end working on something, still it was a good run and I'm probably gonna be happier now that I'm no longer doing it.
