I'm in the minority here, but Reddit is one of my favorite sites. I rarely encounter sexism, racism, etc. It's probably because there are only a few subreddits I really go to.

I've never heard of this guy either.

As I said, I like Reddit. It's just a site with a bunch of people. Some subreddits are better than others.
To add to that, most subreddits self-police; admins usually take a very hands-off approach to moderation, which partially lead to the whole trouble with free speech. So its the Mods which have the power to turn the place into a shithole or a place where constructive discussion can take place. If the mod is someone like ViolentAcres, you know what to expect. And usually, with significant exceptions, each subreddit leaves the other alone.
