The past 2 years have been leading up to this point for Mr. Cosby and I for one am glad to see justice done.

Ironbite-what we've learned about him over the years this should come as no surprise.

OJ still got hurt badly in civil court, and apparently hasn't paid much of the settlement awarded against him there.

Read on Facebook they subpoenaed his wife over this and from all accounts, she knew the drugging and raping was going on.

Ironbite-makes you wonder if she'll be charged too.

It certainly doesn't help to prove her innocence by trying to fight the disposition in the first place.

Negligence is the wrong word here. Negligence is defined, if I recall, as disregarding a substantial and unjustifiable risk that a reasonable person would appreciate. I.E. for negligence, you do not need to know the severity the the error you make, it is an ad hoc decision by the state. Oh well.

Recklessness is defined similarly, although it is as "knowing and disregarding a substantial and unjustifiable risk." That one is more applicable here, since she would know about the drugging (assuming she knew, not assuming it happened, we all know it did).

In terms of which is worse, recklessness is worse. And all of this is operating from the model penal code, which may not be adopted in Cosby's state.

Pump your breaks there just a second Barb. Compartmentalize for just a moment. Fat Albert isn't ruined because the creator is who he is any more than Mr. Rogers is in any way tainted by who Fred Rogers was. Fat Albert is a character, and therein subject to the same rules as any other character.
