An antiquated voter registration system is to blame for listing 1.8 million dead people as registered "active" voters in the United States, the Pew Center on the States concludes in a new study that shows millions of mistakes in voter rolls across the nation and recommends online sign-up.
The study found 24 million voter registrations, or one out of every eight, were no longer valid or are significantly inaccurate. Beside the nearly 2 million dead potential voters, 12 million registrations had the wrong address and 2.75 million voters were registered in more than one state.

Implying that the dead will rise and that someone who moves from Tennessee to Vermont can feasibly vote in 2 states. 

So the solution a database without a paper back-up...sound familiar?

There will always be voter fraud in any political system involving "voting". Truth is, you can't completely stop it. What you can do is put it in the spotlight so when your favored candidate loses, you can bitch like a four-year-old and cry out "no fair! You cheated!"

The same people who were screaming "BUSH WON, GET OVER IT!" and "OVERWHELMING MANDATE!" when people pointed out election irregularities in Florida and elsewhere in 2000 and 2004 were the exact same people yodeling "ELECTION FRAUD!!!" and "ZOMG ACORN!!"at the top of their lungs in 2008.  And they're going to be out in force from November onwards.  Apparently election fraud only became a problem in 2008, when the wrong president won. 

If one wants to know what the neoconservatives and Dominionist fundies are up to, one only has to listen to what they're accusing the other side of doing. 

What you can do is put it in the spotlight so when your favored candidate loses, you can bitch like a four-year-old and cry out "no fair! You cheated!"
