He's not the first guy. Michael Moriarty moved to Canada for a similar reason after Janet Reno criticized Law and Order.

That's where they went to dodge the draft so they didn't have to risk their lives for their country so I suppose Canada is a nostalgic "Plan B" for them.

Normally I'd feel sorry for Canada, but then I realise that if they willingly grant the guy an entry visa, it's their own damn fault.

I think it's more about "FUCK THIS COUNTRY! I'm outta here!" than "Canada is better than USA." I bet he just doesn't know any countries that would fit his dreams and going to the socialist Europe or someplace even farther away is too frightening. (And he can't go south, not after blaming Mexican illegals all these years.)

Beck is now saying that he "stood against all systems that will become enemies of humanity." How moving to Canada fits in with this I do not know. But he wants his children and grandchildren to be able to air his message about what a True American HeroTM he is.
