Because religious logic.

Perhaps people don't age in Mormon heaven?

Well, once you die your body doesn't age anymore... also eternal youth. So I can sort of see where they're coming from.

By that logic, infants would always be infants. What fun would it be to be in heaven and be six weeks old forever? No, I think they haven't thought that through.

The thing I don't like about that poem is that it still keeps the focus on skin colour, maintaining the "us vs them" status quo. If the message was more along the lines of "you're coloured too" instead of "I'm less coloured than you", I'd be down with it, but as it stands, the undercurrents of hostility feel very counterproductive.

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

Genuinely very hard without the answers. Also, is it just me, or is Mr. Burns actually to the left of Romney on the basis of these statements?
