This has gone far enough and you have forced me to react to this: Mr C doesn't really believe what he is saying. He is just trolling you. At first I did wonder if he really was serious but like in most of his comments he is merely being a contrarian, which should have been obvious, and trying to pick something that will make people angry.

If you find yourself getting murderously enraged by criticisms of socialism you should maybe reconsider the direction your life is taking.

Unless you actively aspire to storming a student protest with a tank column.

Could we compromise and storm the Vatican with a tank column, instead?  It'd be much more entertaining.

I think the Swiss Guards may be slightly tank proof.

They look like the medieval version of Tesla troopers.

Pssh, pot metal against an Abrams, I'll throw my lot in with the Abrams.

Unless we're talking about Civilization, where a tank can, somehow, be taken out by a Stone Age warrior with a club.

Only one way to find out, eh?

Why not both? I mean, there's gotta be students at the Vatican. And I'm sure European students squish as nicely as their Chinese counterparts.

I'll stop eating beef lamb and pork the same day they start letting me eat vegetarians.

Nah, leave the students be...if nothing else, they can be deprogrammed.

I'm not unreasonable. Let's take it on a case by case basis depending on what they're studying.

I don't think what they are studying is a reliable way of deciding whether they are salvageable or not. The pope himself has an education in chemistry and the Vatican employs priests who are also actual scientists. We need to either have thorough - probably even enhanced - interrogations or just squish them all to be sure.

Alright, fine! Conty, when you're done squishing folks the Vatican, I'll want to bring it to Oral Roberts University for student squashing.

I like to think I have more class than to create a sockpuppet and sew a thoroughly bizarre, Glenn Beck's The Overton Window-esque story of squalor brought on by loosely correlation-based events.

I HAVE been taking creative writing classes, and the story Contrarian has spun here strikes me as insulting to the readers' intelligence and without nuance - classic reactionary fantasy of "I'm one hundred percent right and everything I don't agree with is of the Devil / Socialism / Communism".
