Actually calling someone a Nazi when they're actually not (and no, simply being a total fuckwit is not a Nazi, a Nazi is a very specific kind of fuckwit) is a Godwin.

Godwin's law simply states that eventually in an internet conversation, there will be a comparison to Nazis, not whether those comparisons are valid or not.

I initially though he might be referring to things like "straight camps" where they are to be "cured" of their "disease" and not concentration camps or death camps, but just didn't think this through when writing, but then I realized this is Todd Kincannon.

To be fair, he literally called for Camps for people he doesn't like, as in Concentration Camps/Death Camps. I think at that stage, you're justified in saying "Dude, that's kinda what Hitler did. In fact, it's the part I find most objectionable about the guy".

Godwins law is about losing proportion, if you compare something to Nazi's if they say, suggest rounding a group up in camps, then Godwins law is justified.
