That seems to be the case, at least for Thunderf00t:

Huge, glaring issue of censorship aside, I find myself wondering, what's this going to do to Youtube as a whole if/when this policy is abused (ignore for the moment how bad it is to start with). Imagine how many music videos alone could disappear with this policy in place, or the number of channels run for the sole purpose of teaching science and history. I realize that this is a bit of a slippery slope, but there's a ton of YT content that isn't even directly related to religious conversation that could come under fire because of something like this.

Youtube has been censorship happy since 2008. This is only going to hurt them more. I notice that other video sites that aren't as heavy on copyright/censorship are starting to grow but they also will probably start to do the same thing.

It's not a slippery slope if YouTube's existing policies are already abused in such a manner. Hell, I would go so far as to conjecture that they're actually doing this to enable the trolls. Just think about how much easier this makes their job.
"My video was flagged & deleted, but it didn't violate any policies."
"Okay, what was it about?"
"Well, I was arguing that Christianity has historically enabled widespread persecution, while suppressing science."
"Ah. That sounds offensive. Good day to you, sir."
And those 2 guys in the video are fucking scumbags.

This is why I tend to use Blip.tv for my reviews and such. ;)
Seriously, though, if this gets out of hand, people will know where I am, 'cause I'll be ranting about it loud enough to hear in Japan.

Remember the good old days when you could post pretty much anything on YouTube?

A typical day for a Youtube employee.

TGRWulf: I pretty much don't anymore, that's the sad thing.
Jebus: One of the funnier Death Note jokes I've ever seen.
