My mom's job is finally unionized, after two years of fighting the big shits have relented, and signed the contract. My mom not only gets a raise, but will get about $7,000 in back pay.

I might be fostering a cat for the next little while, until her owner pays off some bills and can afford to rent a new place. She's so cute. :)

I HAVE A NEW KITTEH!

I was about to go to bed when I heard some faint meowing outside. I went out, and sitting on the deck was this beautiful, and very hungry looking kitten. I put some food and water in a couple of bowls, and he sucked it all down like there was no tomorrow.

I brought him inside, and my mom and grandmother both fell in love with him, as did I. We had to keep him. We couldn't just give him some food, then send him off into the cold unknown.

I gave him a bath because he was smelleh, and now he smells good. He's super soft, like a rabbit. And he's SUCH A SWEET CAT. He's been attached to me all night. Even as I type this, I type with one hand because I have to hold him in the other.

I named him Max Power. Here he is:

I finally got around to watching Breaking Bad. I'm seven episodes into season two and so far, while the show is a little slow and the family drama side of things is a bit over-emphasised, overall it's fairly decent, especially for a drama. I should have a good bit of fun with this show over the next few weeks.

It must be "obtain a cat" week. I'm getting a 1-year-old kitty to foster (possibly keep, the owner and I need to work out whether or not he'll be able to afford to take her back) later on today. She has one of the prettiest coat patterns I've seen -- mostly black, grey and cream bullseye tabby, with swirls of copper throughout. I'll post pics of her when I bring her home, and get her settled in a bit.

How's your other cat adjusting to the kitten?
