  • Get me my arbalest... explosive bolts, please.
No indictment for him either.  Surprise fucking surprise.

Article here:  http://nypost.com/2014/12/03/cop-cleared-in-eric-garner-chokehold-death/

As the Fark headline says for this:  "Hey, remember that cop in Staten Island who was caught on tape literally choking an innocent man to death for no reason at all? Yeah, a grand jury just decided not to indict him either"

I wish I could say I'm surprised, but at this point... ... I think I'm just sad, more than anything.
There is light and darkness in the world, to be sure.  However, there's no harm to be had in walking in the shade or shadows.

At least a sham trial has the trappings of justice. Our police state seems to want to dispose of even that process to further protect a privileged warrior class.

It seems we'll get to relive the good old feudal days when peasants would be cut down in the street for bumping into these guys.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.

Gotta love how the police say that the cop wasn't using a chokehold, because apparently video of him using a chokehold isn't proof that he was using a chokehold.

The guy had to get the communism squeezed out of him, it was for his own good.

A police officer could shoot and kill ten people, just straight up massacre them for no reason, and if some witnesses came forward, well, he'd get away with it.

Fuck the cops.

Nah, not at once, but you could definitely kill tons of people if you did it over a period of 20 or so years, maybe simply horrifically maiming some.

*cough* Waco *cough*

Definitely debatable, but certainly all those people didn't need to die. There is much less to debate about what happened in Philadelphia on May 13 1985.

Waco was caused by the cult leader setting fire to the building.

And this sealed the deal in my mind - cops are basically bloodthirsty thugs who find the fact they're utterly invincible in court to be cause for mocking the general populace.

We have these uniforms and these superior weapons. We are superior to you. OBEY AND LIVE. DEFY AND DIE.

I don't think I'd ever go that far.  The police in my area are generally okay.  I've only ever had a beef with one of them.  While there's going to be bad apples in any large organization thinking every last guy in a uniform is a corrupt dickwaving pig is as bad as the miscarriage of justice happening in the USA right now with white cops and black "suspects."

Apparently the guy who filmed the choking death of an unarmed man is facing charges for carrying a gun.
Gee, that sure doesn't sound sketchy!
(Not a response to the post above that I more or less agree with.)
