Seems the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act. I'll try and find an article later.

This'll do. ;D

In a victory for President Obama, the Supreme Court decided to uphold his signature health care law's individual mandate in a split decision, upending speculation after hostile-seeming oral arguments in March that the justices would overturn the law. The mandate has been upheld as a tax, according to SCOTUSblog, with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the liberal wing of the court.

Twenty six states sued over the law, arguing that the individual mandate, which requires people to buy health insurance or face a fine starting in 2014, was unconstitutional. Opponents cast the individual mandate as the government forcing Americans to enter a market and buy a product against their will, while the government countered that the law was actually only regulating a market that everyone is already in, since almost everyone will seek health care at some point in his or her life.

The vote was 6-3

Well this will make the GOP cry lol.

I saw Roberts being a swing vote because he generally upholds cases based on the commerce clause and Kennedy joining him in approval, so I was part right. Huge victory for Obama and it will give him a point he can gloat at Romney about in future debates. I only hope this doesn't back fire and get the teabaggers back out in public.

Well, back to trolling conservatives with this  ;D

Though I'll post my opinion on the whole thing. Though Obamacare is better than the pre-2009 health care system I would still like it to go a bit further. It is good that now health care is at least a regulated scam but I still see a for-profit-health-care-system to be a joke. Finally we can expect to get very used to Obamacare as it will probably be the status quo for the next 50+ years. No politician is going to touch the health care industry after seeing some 100 Democratic Senators & Representatives being voted out of office combined with teabagger backlash in 2010.

Yay, I guess?? :-\  I'm still not a big fan of the individual mandate, and would of rather of seen a public opition instead, in case anyone is wondering, I'm thinking along the lines like the German Healthcare system. Maybe in time we'll get something like a public opition. Any way, I have to say it's fun seeing the teabaggers getting butt hurt over this.

Does this guy understand that there is this part of the Constitution that mandates* what those 'couple' of people on the Supreme Court say be constitutional?

Having the "right" to be sick and unable to afford treatment is only a "right" in the same sense as having the "right" to murder people in cold blood. Sometimes rights are bad. Sometimes they're outright morally wrong.

While i'm all for a health care plan, I feel the one we got is complete crap compared to what we could've gotten had both sides not spent the entire time arguing over typface or lettering or some crap.

Still, I'm happy for those who'll benefit from this.  I just feel it could've been a lot more than it is.

Is that the sound of Teabagger's heads simultaneously bursting?

That may be the single gayest thing I have ever read on this board. Or the old one. ;)

The worse part is that the indivdual mandate was a republican idea from the get go, but apparently as soon as a center-right democrat touches it, it turns into EVIL SOCIALISM!!!
