Title: Xian magazine: Sex with Demons turns you gay.
Post by: the_ignored on December 01, 2012, 10:07:42 pm
So if any of you are contemplating getting it on with a succubus or a marilith, you may want to keep this (http://www.charismamag.com/spirit/spiritual-warfare/15889-can-you-be-raped-by-the-devil) in mind...

Quote
The two most identifiable sexual demons are the incubus, which is a male sexual demon that traditionally assaults women, and the succubus, which is a female sexual demon that assaults men. Sometimes they also lure people into homosexual behavior.

Quote
Adams says the succubus spirit that used to attack her confused her so much that she contemplated becoming a lesbian.

"Unless you're strong enough to rebuke it, they'll keep coming back," she says. "You must speak the Word of God, knowing you have power in the name of Jesus."

Eddie Smith, the president of U.S. Prayer Track and a respected leader in deliverance ministry, believes that experiences like Adams' are common. He and his wife, Alice, have ministered to "at least hundreds" of people suffering from demonic sexual attacks.

Quote
"Many people don't realize that there is even historic documentation of this," Smith told Charisma. He says that it is especially common in pagan religions such as SanterĂa and voodoo because people who practice those religions invoke demons to come and interact with them.

I guess none of these people have heard of "sleep paralysis (http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis)"?

By the way people, the bible is the "antidote to superstition (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/cm/v20/n2/antidote-to-superstition)"!

I like the dumbass in the comments who was talking about how they experience sleep paralysis and that it was because of demons.  After several logical responses about how sleep paralysis is a medical condition and that she should consult a doctor, another responder comes along telling her to ignore the others and that she was right and that she should seek help from a minister, reaffirming everything the OP said.  Cue the OP thanking them and saying that they didn't respond to the others because they don't accept counsel to "just anyone."  Funny how the people she does "accept counsel" from already agree with everything she believes.  It's pretty much a case of "LALALA I can't hear you!  See this person agrees with me, I'm right!"

I tell you, that sleep paralysis can be scary as hell.  I know it for what it is though.  Thankfully I only get attacks very seldom now.

That said, if sleeping with demons turns you gay..., what turned me asexual?

Well, just sleeping with incubi and sucubi turn you gay, Spaceprog.  You probably slept with a changeling that sucked out all of your love.

I actually think its quite cool because it makes me aware of my body as a dead weight, and just how much our muscles work just to fight gravity.

Then I think about what we would evolve into if we spent most of our lives in zero gravity.

By then the sensation passes and I go back to hating the real world.

^ Don't you have the scary hallucinations that often come with sleep paralysis?

The scariest that I've ever been during a nightmare was when I had sleep paralysis.

Unfortunately the nightmare itself was quite boring, it was the paralysis adding to it that made it scary. I just dreamed that there was this black blob thing on our yard and it came jumping and sliding inside and to my room -as I was on the be paralysed, but trying desperately to move- and when it jumped on me I woke up.

Silly.

A succubus dream? That could have been cool though.

I guess because I tend to recognize it as sleep paralysis that makes it cool.

But its only happened to me very few times. Usually I sleep like a rock.

I used to get sleep paralysis a lot when I was younger (around 7-9 years of age) and it was weird cause I'd get it just as I'm waking up combine that with me being around 7 years of age and it was a nightmare in itself.

I slept with my eyes open when I was younger because I was afraid of nightmares so much.

Never had sleep paralysis though.

I've had sexual dreams and I've had sleep paralysis, but never at the same time. I can understand how a lot of people would think it is scary if you have no idea what is going on, but frankly I always found it a calm and fascinating experience. I've also experienced various hallucinations of movement or sliding around (even though I am perfectly still), what some would call an "out-of-body experience," and, yes, the hallucination of other figures being in the room with me. Even though I have some idea what is going on and I have gotten used to them when they occur, it still spooks me a little bit to "see" or "sense" the presence of a complete stranger in the room. For someone who has no knowledge of sleep paralysis or its symptoms, however, this could easily be mistaken for paranormal activity, which explains the prevalence of "sleep demons" in many cultures around the world.

I actually read this story before - on a website for queer people still in the closet. I recently submitted it to the mainpage, because the whole article is just plain lulzy.

I've slept walked once. I had my eyes open so I could see what was going on. It was like having 2 personalities at once... One was my "awake" self and the other was still dreaming. Basically I dreamed that my family was going on vacation so I had to get up early to pack. The dreaming self was like "God... I hate waking up early. I better get in the car and buckle my seat belt" (Which I surprisingly was able to get down the stairs, go to the garage, get in the car, and put on a seat belt). My "awake" self was like "BODY. What are you doing? We're not going on vacation! STOP WALKING!"

The idea of sleep paralysis scares me shitless. The inability to control my own body is the only physical ailment that scares me more than the idea of being blind.

The crap I might see scares me more than the paralysis aspect of it.  I tend to have very vivid dreams in REM.

When I sleep-walked that time it wasn't as scary as I thought it should be. I was just really confused. I did freak out before I went down the stairs, but for some reason my dreaming self knew how to do that...

Sleep walking usually isn't that scary.  Since you can move and all, your brain isn't jumping the gun right to "DANGER OMG EVIL GONNA GET ME" mode.  I've sleepwalked (while sleep talking) a few times, and I don't remember it ever being scary.  If you wake up during it, you can feel pretty dang disoriented, though.

I still suffer from sleep paralysis from time to time.  It's not the nightmare part of it that scares me but being unable to move.  It actually terrifies me so much that I force myself to move and sometimes end up rolling right off the bed.

Also, despire all the hot demons in my dreams, I'm still straight.  Sorry, fellas.

That claim seems highly suspicious. For it to be proper science it needs to be scientifically proven and tested. Vigorously. With large sample sizes. And a control group of course.

I know that things might get hard but I believe we are on the verge of a scientific breakthrough.

Deimos: Drop your pants... FOR SCIENCE!

I question just WHY a sex demon would turn you gay if that meant they couldn't fuck you anymore.

Isn't demon sex supposed to be really good, so that you keep going back for more.

I would have thought that it would make you even more straight if anything.

Good sex is a huge turn off for fundies. It makes them so disgusted and flustered they just turn gay.

The woman being quoted in the original post is claiming that she was nearly converted to lesbianism by a succubus, the female version. According to the article, these demons "traditionally" attack people of the opposite sex, but sometimes they go after people of the same sex in order to make them gay.

Bi-curious demons? "Nearly converted to lesbianism"? I feel like this woman had a lesbian sex dream and then thought it was a demon or something.

But it must have been a demon. The minds of Good Christian Ladies don't/can't produce such dreams on their own. Jesus wouldn't let that happen.

Jesus won't let you be a lesbian, but he won't stop the sexy demons.

I think the original version was that the demon first "attacks" a man and steals his "seed." Then it "attacks" a woman and impregnates her with the sperm it had stolen.

And that is how she got pregnant despite not being married... And that is also why the baby looks like the guy who lives nearby. I mean the demon is a shapeshifter and seduced the young people so that it could ruin them.

Certainly no hanky-panky involved nossir.

I mean that is the impression I got from the story of succubus/incubus. Always seemed like the kind of excuse you make up when the midden hits the windmill.

The only thing I got out of this is that fundies watch too much really bad porn and somehow confuse it with reality.

I don't understand why converts or born-agains feel the need to justify their past behavior.  Isn't the point to forget your past and move on and focus on living a godly future?  Isn't the important thing to stop living as you did before conversion?  You'd think that just by converting or being born-again, you're already acknowledging that you were living a sinful, godless life.  The whole point of the religion is to be saved through Jesus despite your past sins, and that if you follow Jesus' teachings, you're forgiven as long as you're genuine.  Instead, they feel they have to justify to their peers and to God that their past behavior wasn't really their fault, and that it was actually demons or Satan who was making them do it.  You'd think that as forgiving and merciful as Christianity advertises itself to be, the right thing to do would be to just admit, "I've made mistakes, I'm not proud of them, but I want to change and that's why I'm here."

From what I've seen, converts, especially Christian ones aren't really looking to change their behavior or they don't really know how. Most of them just want to cover up their behavior or try to down play it by saying "But, I'm a Christian so I'm really a good person". They're fighting their ego when they do this, which usually wins in the process and so instead of honest trying to change, it tells them to just justify it so they don't have to actually admit a fault.

You know, for as much as people like this try and say how atheists are only atheist so they won't have to be responsible for their actions, it must be nice to have a legion of demons you can foist blame onto whenever you screw up.  It's almost like you're not personally responsible or something.

Hm, I can be a prick in every way, but still be called a good person who deserves an eternity of sunshine daisies and unicorn farts? Sounds like an ego stroker to me.
