Chock this one up as our news of the weird for today. A man who has two hearts, the second was implanted on the belief his first heart was going to fail, had dual heart attacks. Not only that:
Doctors then were able to successfully use a defibrillator to revive both hearts simultaneously. He's now reportedly doing well with his two functioning hearts.
I don't know whether to comment on his insane luck at beating the odds or what must be a massive will to live.

/insert Doctor Who Timelord joke here
In all seriousness, that's pretty good! I was born with double of lots of things there shouldn't be double of but not hearts. Good that he survived that. That is some luck!

That's fucked up. Glad he's doing okay.

Wow... interesting. It's also cool that he has two hearts.

That is totally fucked up and totally awesome all at once.

This. This was the appropriate response my brain couldn't muster up when I first saw this story.

When all is functioning properly his blood must circulate really, really fast.

Hell if I know... how does having two hearts work out? :o

The whole two hearts thing reminds me of the Krogan from Mass Effect and there two organ deal which would be cool if we could implement it in modern medicine.

The article mentioned something about it causing irregularities in his circulation.
-
I keep wondering if you could get both hearts' rates close enough to show beat frequency.

Heh, no argument here.
