It's just not right how someone who spent so much of his time making others laugh would become depressed and commit suicide.

My wife just called me (she's in Orlando for a few days), crying because she just saw that in the news.  All I can say is I'm shocked and I feel bad for him and his family.

I have nothing really unique to say.  My prayers go out to the family and close friends of Robin Williams.  I really hope his depression had nothing to do with his untimely death.

To me, it's one of the most tragic ironies of life.  Comedians like Robin Williams, Drew Carey, Jim Carrey, and others who make us laugh so much often suffer from depression, either chronic or manic.
