They don't like a black president. Straight from a birthers mouth and lawsuit:

As the fourteenth amendment is only a grant of “civil rights” and not a grant of “political rights” Barack Hussein Obama II does not have and “political rights” under any provision of the United States Constitution to hold any Public Office of the United States government.

Um, political rights are civil rights, dumbass.

That's just astonishing. That in 2012 someone would publicly make the argument that black people are not full citizens of the United States is just bewildering.

Even if his argument had slight merit, it doesn't matter what the Constitution said before the 14th. He didn't run for President before the 14th, nor was he born before the 14th. So... irrelevant much?

I was quite gobsmacked to read it.

I'm sure there're plenty of people who think black people shouldn't be citizens out there, but someone actually trying to mount a legal case built on the idea? That's a special kind of special.
