....and, I'll let the article explain the rest....

http://www.mediaite.com/online/90-year-old-gop-rep-accidentally-wanders-into-lgbt-pride-event/

He's 90 years old and apparently senile. I don't whenever to chuckle or shake my head.

All least the befuddled old bigot was polite when he realized his goof.

Wait a minute? Are you allowed to use "I got lost and was supposed to be somewhere else" as a defense for this?

What about all those homophobic rebublicans who frequented gay bars? They must have just accidentally gone into a wrong bar. Or the ones who "accidentally" picked up a gay male prostitute in a airport bathroom? I mean who here hasn't accidentally hired a gay prostitute instead of a straight one? It is a common mistake to make, I myself continue to look for 100% completely straight male prostitutes to have sex with me but keep on getting gay and bi prostitutes.

In some places you can hardly swing a cock without hitting a gay prostitute with it.

Ok, maybe I should stop joking about this.

More on the topic though, he seems like a nice old fellow. Apart from the homophobia and opposition to equality and all that. Can't seem to find any information about him though, so all I know is his opposition to gay marriage and that he has class.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:

Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

At least he left quietly and without causing a scene. Gotta give him props for that.
From international relations to religious rivalries, from marriage to athlete's foot, whatever the problem a fundy's first solution is usually violence.

He doesn't look a day over 75!

In all seriousness, he's too old to change his opinions and at least he was nice about it.

I heard a similar story on tumblr about someone's gran winding up in a gay pride parade and saying the whole family should go next year.

The Comments are amusing:

One the positive side, the LGBT lobby got to actually meet an old conservative man. That will certainly make it hard for them to demonize the right so effortlessly in the future, as per the progressives’ marching orders. They probably wish he had a gay grandkid, but odds are they’re all straight.

What are you basing that on?

Well, he's a Republican in 2013.
Still can't think of a signature a year later.

Okay, there needs to be a law: no people in office above 65. It would help them represent the American people, not the American Zombies.

Oh now...65 is the new 45, doncha know. Seriously though, I've got brothers that age, they don't "look" it or act it, and they are two of the most intelligent and kindly men I've ever known. Which, by definition, means they're too good to ever have gone into politics.

I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

My major point is, after 65, you are far too likely (not certain, but it's likely) to be out of touch with the 21st century.

But what if someone wants to vote for them? What if those over 65 believe that an old candidate will do the best job at representing them?

In fact if we start banning candidates based on age, why allow people under (for example) 35 to become political candidates? Some 20 year old brat hasn't got much experience in life or politics.

We already ban the president from being under 35. My entire point is that someone over 65 is going to be leading for the past, not the future. Even if they might best represent the over 65 crowd, the over 65 crowd should not have that much power, because they will be dead soon. They are the past, not the future.

...Even the elderly can have wisdom, people regardless of age can invent something new or otherwise help improve the society.

And even if invention and advancement are necessary it does not mean that everything that is old should be abandoned simply because it is old.

Not abandoned, and being wise has it's own weaknesses. My mindset is for two major reasons: firstly, because of the fact that, in almost all situations, the elderly are stuck in their ways, and their ways are often outdated. The other major reason is because, if you force a retirement age, you deal with the issue of Congressmen-for-life.

Of course, there's no need for the conservative to see the other side so it's hard to demonize them now, is there?  I love how the right treats certain groups like shit, then acts like victims when people get angry about it.
