And by rapists I mean priests. But really, what's the fucking difference at this point?

Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York authorized payments of as much as $20,000 to sexually abusive priests as an incentive for them to agree to dismissal from the priesthood when he was the archbishop of Milwaukee.

Basically, it means the church is literally run by trolls. Trolls who, like their more respectable internet persona (pictured below), need to be set on fire and skinned alive.

There's a significant difference between priests and rapists

Mainly because there are catholic priests that aren't rapists.

Not to excuse the Catholic church any, as the amount of rapists they DO have in positions of power is staggering and frightening anyways.

But anyways, more cover ups, this time with bribing, not a surprise, but it is disappointing.

I've lived and worked in dictatorships (Hitler and Stalin), theocracies (Saudi Arabia and Iran) and in democracies. Theocracies are by far the most corrosive to the human condition.
