Va. GOP Posts Racist Obama Photos

The Mecklenburg County Republican Committee posted a series of racist and tasteless images on their Facebook page which depict President Obama as a witch doctor, a caveman, a thug, and a domestic abuser, among other things. Virginia Republican Party officials ordered them to remove the pictures from their Facebook page, but R. Wallace Hudson (the chairman of the committee) was apparently astonished that anyone could view these images as racist, accusing opponents of (you guessed it) "playing the race card." Moreover, Senate candidate George Allen condemned the photos as well. You might remember him as the man who called an Indian kid who worked for his opponent a "macaca". And there was also some stuff about him using the N-word with alarming frequency in his college days, hanging nooses in his office, wearing a Confederate flag pin, and stuffing a severed deer's head in the mailbox of a random black family...

I might have seen that particular picture on Jeff Rense's page before, who is a racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist (among other things) if I remember correctly.

When anyone says that someone else is playing the race card, I just picture this dude going, "Aaaaaaand that's my race card. UNO!"

Why would you even do that?

If I were a racist douche, I would've done something less bug fuck bizarre. Like, paint a swastika on their porch with White Power written under it. Wouldn't the head be leaking brain fluid and blood? How did he get it in without being spotted and screamed at?

I think the saddest part of this whole story, severed moose head included is that I actually expect it from them. It is no longer that I am just not surprised anymore, but I would be surprised if they didn't end up doing stuff like this.
