E3 2014 Thread
« on: June 08, 2014, 06:03:45 pm »

So who's excited for E3 this year?  I know I am, whether I want to be or not.*

I'm most excited for Nintendo's conference, though I'll still be looking at the results of the other conferences for items of interest.  Hoping we get some good hype this year.  Of course, we're probably gonna get a lot of overhype, too.  And maybe even some underhype.

There's a lot of room for disappointment.  But if you go in looking for disappointment, you're definitely going to find it.  So my motto is, "Hope for the Best, Prepare for the Worst"

So, what are you looking forward to this E3?

I'd like to see a new Metroid game to wash out the bitter aftertaste of Other M.

I'm afraid I never even boarded the hype train for Witcher 1 or 2.  Perhaps I should fix that.

Personally, all I'm interested in is new bullshit for Jim Sterling or TotalBiscuit to rip to shreds. Every year, E3 never fails to be an absolute goldmine for that sort of thing.

I... don't.  I generally wait for websites to update in real time with things that are announced, and maybe watch clips.

I'm so boring.

Fucking YEEEES. Armageddon was a good game but it wasn't the high note I'd want to end the franchise on.

Also, you should be able to watch the conferences on twitch.tv, at least that's where I watched them last year...

I'm hoping it's om TV more than the first day.  That p***ed me off last year since I scheduled my vacation to watch it.  Still, I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing more of the new SW Battlefront game more than anything else.  Also maybe more info on Dying Light.

REMAKES FOR ALL!

... that seems to be the theme this year.

New Tomb Raider tho. Thats cool. Not 100% on the name, but yeah, cool.

Ubisoft wanted to be edgy so much it hurts.
