It's not to dissuade the diehard Paul fanboys, it's supposed to dissuade the ones sitting on the fence.

I'm not even sure it's going to dissuade the fence sitters, the Paulaide seems to really strong this time around, especially if it can fool "Greens" to turn on other "Greens" or those who lean "Green" and call them "Obamabots" because one dares not to like Mr. Paul.
