Yeah nobody gives a shit about their toilet paper or napkins or...whatever else that shit is.

"Give A Shit" = Don't buy.

Novel way to put it but that's the point.

So, folks...If you want to put a wrench in the ol' Righty-Tyrant Machine Of Doom, don't "give a shit" Koch Krap! "Give a shit" about others!

I... I don't even know how to address this.

Other than "There aren't NEARLY enough people here to actually matter when it comes to boycotts, and most of the people here are here because they're sick of being preached at to some degree."

No no no. Feed the Beast (http://feed-the-beast.com/). You don't starve it. Otherwise, there'd be no exploding bees or electric jet packs in the world. Frankly, that's a world in which I don't want to live.

Therefore, I would like to move this thread to Preaching and Worship.

Spuki, this is just a friendly reminder that it is against the rules to advertise products.

Also it's not always feasible to be choosy about brands when a lot of us are in positions where we can't 'vote with our wallets'.

and several of us don't particularly give a shit when it means that we can save three bucks on paper towels and two fifty on dish detergent.

My grocery bill is more important.

Agree with moving this to Preaching and Worship, but wish that thread title had Activism in it, or have a thread with that title. Consumer boycotting is a legit activity, the list Spuki provided was comprehensive, and targeting the Koch brothers is appropriate, considering how many aspects of what we discuss here in general ties in to them, even if mostly "behind the scenes", i.e., ALEC and the Tea Party being their brain children and favorite "hobbies". All of the alternate brands go on sale, too, so the list does not presume a middle class or above income as far as consumer choice proactive buying.

Huh...I didn't know we weren't allowed to recommend purchasing certain products.

It doesn't matter what kind of toilet paper someone buys. It's just going to get covered in shit anyways.

On a side note (since toilet paper was mentioned):  My advice is to always take your shits at work...not only will you save money on toilet paper, but you're getting paid to do it.

I understand what you're trying to do, and I agree with it a lot, it just doesn't seem like FSTDT's boards are, well, nearly enough people.
