It's been quite some time since I last checked in here. I've missed you guys, but I've been dealing with some personal issues over the past few months that drastically impacted the time I've had to spend online and what I wanted to do while I did have the time online. Coming back, I see I've missed a lot, and I was very sorry to see that Sandman had passed. RIP.
I took on two jobs, which really cut into my time online.
In July of 2012 I fell very ill, and was in poor health until mid-September. What I thought was a case of minor food poisoning ended up being cryptosporidiosis, and while the illness itself lasted only about a week and a half, it took almost two months for me to be completely well again. During that time I was still working, which led to a longer recovery time.
I have still been attending university.
There have been some... complicated issues within my family, which I don't really want to go into depth about. Suffice to say, though, that my uncle is no longer considered part of my family thanks to the actions of his wife.
I've also been spending less time on the Internet in general. Several sites I used to like seem to have been overrun with fundies of a different stripe. I had never really given much thought to these sorts of people before, but after getting into arguments with radical feminists several times while ill, I gave up on the Internet for a while.
So. Cheers. I might not be around as much as I used to be, but for now, I'm back.
