As Bill Maher said, people who worry about Shariah law while we're facing real problems may as well worry about the monster their kid says is in the closet while someone is breaking into their car. Can't worry about gay rights when the Mooslems are taking over!

Uh......

I have nothing, absolutly nothing, to say about this story.  It kinda speaks for itself.  I can't even pull juicy quotes from it because of how disgusting it is.  And yes, it's linked to him.

Ironbite-it's just...heart rending.
Reading this killed a part of me.

Yeah, how has he not been sent to jail for being a scumbag already?

Because he's not the one who did any of this.  He knew about it but he did nothing.  But you damn know he probably wrote  the policy and approved of it.

Ironbite-so yeah...there ya go.

Didn't he say that the crusades were a good thing? I can't find any articles that say he did though.

It's a fairly traditional conservative argument- society is permanently on a knife's edge and any attempt to make major reform can only cause it's collapse.

And you, Fred, have reminded me of an all too appropriate quote from Carl Sagan:

Quote
Fundamental changes in society are sometimes labelled impractical or contrary to human nature, as if nuclear war were practical or as if there's only one human nature. But fundamental changes can clearly be made, we're surrounded by them. In the last two centuries abject slavery which was with us for thousands of years has almost entirely been eliminated in a stirring worldwide revolution. Women, systematically mistreated for millennia are gradually gaining the political and economic power traditionally denied them and some wars of aggression have recently been stopped or curtailed because of a revulsion felt by the people in the aggressor nations. The old appeals to racial sexual religious chauvinism and to rabid nationalist fervor are beginning not to work. A new consciousness is developing which sees the earth as a single organism and recognizes that an organism at war with itself is doomed.

That's commie-socialist-atheist-satanistic talk right there!

Santorum says if Obama is elected again, America will be destroyed forever.

...and reborn as the truly free and fair progressive country it's supposed to be.

For the scariest reason imaginable - they've got nobody left. The best they could do is Huntsman and he's unelectable to them. Paul and The Glove are the next with Glove being the most likely to have a chance. The religinuts back Frothy because they love him the best. It's like voting for the 500+:1 odds horse/boxing match, or using your car and a rope as a penis enhancement tool. If you get lucky, it doesn't matter that it'll never work again in a million years, it doesn't have to.

They just have to set their cards up right to get Frothy to win this once, and America's fucked.

No, it's going to pretty much stay the same, with better health care.

Frothy also wants to bomb Iran.

To prevent a war

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
