I coin tossed this for the Society or Religious forums. Mods, feel free to move if I got it wrong.http://lovewins.info/2013/08/feeding-homeless-apparently-illegal-in-raleigh-nc/So, this blog from a church group has been passed around Facebook today. The church group (who sound like the kind of Christians who actually follow their faith) claims that the cops are threatening to arrest them for feeding at risk people on the weekends. They claim they weren't given a clear reason (other than some murky hinting at a downtown revitalization plan) why a program they've been running for six years is suddenly against the law. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but if it's true it's an awful misuse of power by the city.

Because I've heard of towns using similar tactics before in attempts to make the town more "presentable."
What We Will DoSimple: we will feed people. I am, after all (however imperfectly), a follower of Jesus, who said himself that when we ignore hungry people, we ignore him. The only question that remains is where we will do it.We knew that with the upcoming revitalization of Moore Square, we would have to find alternative arrangements. We have been working to that end, but as the revitalization is currently unfunded, and has no start date, we felt we had some time.

They're just hoping to starve at risk people out.
Life for the sake of life means nothing.

Humanity does learn from history, sadly, they're rarely the ones in power.
Life is too damned short for the concept of “guilty” pleasures to have any meaning.
