Animal metaphors are part of native american culture, stop appropriating it.

You'll be doing raindances next, you sicken me.

So sorry, I've said my piece, Contrarian. Now run back to your little bridge with UP.

There there, being australian is a *choice*.  You don't HAVE to wear the silly hat with the corks, it's all very modern these days, apparently...

True, you don't have to. But it's very strongly encouraged nonetheless.

^I've made it clear that I have no interest in speaking with the you or UP. It's not my job to spare your feelings. Right. I'll be going back to the politics thread, not that there's anything of consequence in chat atm.

So Contrarian, where are you going to move to when Corbin becomes Prime Minister?

I take it you won't be coming here.

London.

Because logic.  I lived, until recently, in sight of the largest naval base in western europe.  That's a prime target when the big war comes and Corbyn's CND bullshit has left us defenceless in the exchange of cleansing nuclear fire.

London is also in the firing line but at least I can amuse myself in the meantime by joining "The Party" before they hand out the torturing and purging duties.  You leftist sheep have no idea how much fun it'll be for me when you're all herded into the gulag and i'm the one holding the whip.

But hey, you voted for it, not me.  I'm just the opportunist making sure you get everything you sold your souls and everyone else's tax revenues for...

Niam, do you have a sock puppet account name starting with a "C"? Like, for practicing dialog writing in one of the short stories or plays you've been working on lately?

I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

"T"

Maybe should have taken remedial literacy instead of Marx appreciation.

Anyway, Vote Corbyn! We are the Bolsheviks 99%!

If so, he should take a creative writing class.

Hey, he's right you know. It's but one small step from universal healthcare and higher education to concentration camps and nuclear world war. I read it somewhere once, so it must be true.

Yes, crazy populist lefties are pretty good at promising expensive freebies to the masses in order to get elected.  It's once you let them in that the real fun starts, coupled with the fact you probably won't get the chance to vote them out again.

At best you end up like present-day Venezuela, at worst, well the 20th century would like a word with you.

Voting for a party led by a guy still championing the same crappy far-left policies that were awful in the 70s is not a step forward unless you REEAAAALLY enjoy queuing half a day for toilet paper or being jailed for "Counter-Revolutionary Activities".

They might actually be starting to sink -- from the weight of all the security cameras.

Odd that, we managed to get the giveaways and freebies that socialists use as the gateway drug before the repression starts, without actually going full "mass starvation and death camps" as was the fashion in Southeast Asia at the time...

But then we've only had two proper leftists in charge since 1951, so the plans for collectivisation have been put on hold for the duration.  Not that they didn't try it on during the Wilson and Callaghan years, mind.
