So I'm kinda curious as to what everyone here finds as the most comfortable sleeping positions. I have an affinity for both sleeping on my stomach and sometimes my side. I generally dislike sleeping on my back, though.
-
I think I usually curl up on my side
-
I like to sleep on my side.
-
I used to sleep on my sides (as in either) as a child and early in my teens, but now I sleep on my belly face dug into my pillow
-
I don't sleep.
-
I usually sleep on my back, my side if it gets uncomfortable.
I can't sleep on my stomach because it gives me back problems.
-
I fall asleep easiest on my side. Though I tend to be more likely to remember my dreams if I sleep on my back, so I occasionally go for that.
-
Hit the wrong button. I meant to hit on my back. Oops.
Anyways, I am a pretty violent sleeper. I tend to thrash about and roll around and generally beat up Mrs. Rookie during the night. But for some reason, no matter what position I end up falling asleep more often than not I wake up on my back.
-
I start sleep on my side but wake up face down with a cat between my legs.
-
I sleep on my right side, mostly. I don't know how I could sleep on my stomach -- it makes me feel like I'm suffocating.
-
^what Ironbite said... when I forget to close my bedroom door, anyway.
Usually I either start on my side or stomach, and wake up the opposite.
-
Either side or my stomach. I seem to only be able to comfortably sleep on my back when I'm sleeping with someone else in the bed with me.
-
Stomach or side.
-
I like sleeping on my back or my side. Sleeping on my stomach is uncomfortable because of... well... my "pillows."
-
Giggity.
-
Where's the option for "spin around in my sleep like a wind turbine".

Au contraire, I have found that for me it actually allows for better breathing. I speak only from experience, but when I lay on my stomach it makes it impossible to breath up in the clavicle because the lungs alone can't push up my body to fill up. Therefore, the breath has to come deeper from the diaphragm which is a healthier habit of breathing (which admittedly I wouldn't know if it weren't for voice therapy and singing lessons).

Sorry to hear that. :( I sometimes get that problem, though I find that it can be mitigated by a quick shift of weight one way or another. One of the few perks of a small chest.

Agreed.
But my general preference is on my stomach. However, I'm a toss'n'turner.

I've found that the way I breathe while lying on my stomach makes it easier to relax and drift off.

I sleep on my left side because for some reason my sleeping on my right causes nightmares.

I usually sleep on my side but will occasionally sleep on my back. I can NOT sleep on my stomach.

I generally sleep on either of my sides, but I do tend thrash about in my sleep also. I'm also known for having full conversations in my sleep, that I don't remember by the time I wake up, and my mom will usually tell me about in the morning.
-
I sleep like:
1) in the prone position. You know the one. The military version.
2) On my side, usually my right. Curled up against my headboard. Sometimes I swap to my left and press my face into my headboard.
If you ever find me on my back there's probably something wrong with me.

You spin me right round, baby, right round....
I toss a lot too...mostly because I bruise myself like you wouldn't believe. I can't even wear pajamas on a regular basis, or the folds in the fabric will dig into my skin.
-
I sleep on my stomach. In fact, it's the only position I can sleep in.
-
I like to sleep on my stomach with one arm under my pillow, my doll under the other arm and one of my legs bent up at a right angle, with the other one straight.
Or sometimes on my side.

The image of you sleeping with a doll curled under your arm is unbearably adorable.
I often sleep in a similar position, minus the doll.

I generally sleep best when I'm on my back or occasionally my stomach. Although sometimes I'll wake up to find myself in a "legs folded over self in the air like a dead bug" pose for some reason. I also have a tendency to wake up drenched in sweat even when it's not particularly warm.
Also, aside from occasions where I'm in close proximity to other people, I always sleep naked. I ditched the clothes almost instantly when I learned just how comfortable sleeping naked can be.

Also this.
