What's really awful is that this might not have happened if the building had sprinklers.

And this thread could've easily been in the other Trump thread.

Ironbite-but that might be beyond you.

This isn't really related to Prima Donald's presidency, so I figured it could be discussed elsewhere.

Apparently there were some people who got warning, namely, personal friends of Trump's lawyer.

--- Quote ---Dennis Shields, a resident who said he lived on the 42nd floor, described the scene. “You could smell the smoke, and you could hear things falling like through the vents,” he said. “It just smelled like sulfur.”

He said there were no orders to evacuate but he received a text message from Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Shields, who said he grew up with Cohen, continued: “He said, ‘Are you in the building?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘You better get out ASAP.’ That’s how I knew to get out, otherwise I’d still be in there.”
--- End quote ---

Kanzenkankaku:
There was one that injured 2 people back in January. 6 firefighters in this one got minor injuries.
