Origin, Westwood, Bullfrog, Maxis and Hypnotix (Makers of Deer avenger series and Panty Raider: From Here to Immaturity. What?)

All those companies, all those legendary games... This topic sure brougth out an nostalgia attack.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

Garriott, you seein this?  Get the rights to Ultima back, at least!  At the very least, single-player Ultima.  Give us what Ultima VIII and IX could've been, had EA not existed.

Am I the only one who accidentally misread this as "Nixon wants to buyout EA"?

Nope~

And since then, I've done it purposefully, because hilarity.

I wish Paradox would buy everything forever.

I dunno. Their censor happy ways would be a little suboptimal.

Nooooooo...that's the LAST thing we need.  Its censor-happy assholes that are at least partially responsible for the state games are in nowadays.  Fear of the killer AO rating is rather great...

Two days on, I still have the urge to write that sitcom script and send it to the BBC.

Given the way I despise EA and the way the gobble up smaller development companies and force them to make shittier games and then ultimately when the assimilation is complete, more sports games, I honestly think this would be worse. I don't know if the total degradation of modern gaming is worth the epic karma of EA getting what they rightly deserve.
