Steam Greenlight Thread
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:08:36 pm »
This thread is for talking about games which you feel should be upvoted the fuck out of, as well as the general state of Steam Greenlight. I'll start:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

La-Mulana

Everybody, please upvote the fuck out of this, and get your friends to upvote the fuck out of it too.

Personally, I've already upvoted the fuck out of this, personally, I think we should all do our part!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gear Up

This also looks pretty good, and you should probably upvote the fuck out of it as well.

Postal 2

The third may have sucked, but I can vouch for Postal 2 as being definitely amusing and entirely worth the purchase price.

It is theoretically possible to beat the game without so much as shooting someone, but it's really hard not to want to shoot someone after a while.

I may already have 3 copies, but I might get a steam key for it if they make it up there.

Vote 1000000000x this game!  It's called Towns Game.  It's basically a graphical Dwarf Fortress but better!  Upvote it here - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92927895  and if you want to play the Demo get it here - http://www.townsgame.com/

Just wanted to update this thread with a mention that the GamesRadar staff members have come up with a list of twenty Steam Greenlight games they feel deserve to be put up on Steam.

Mockery of ideas you don't comprehend or understand is the surest mark of unintelligence.

Twenty more titles have been greenlit!

Pretty good selection. La-Mulana isn't among the games in there, but still...

Also, Nitrome, the greatest flash game developer ever, is working on a full-fledged downloadable title, and has put it on Steam Greenlight. Please upvote the fuck out of it.

In Verbis Virtus isn't greenlit yet D:

People are downvoting it because it's "gimmicky" :-/

Well... It is.  Also, when you're living with somebody who hates video games, talking to one's game isn't really an option.  I upvoted it anyway, because it's got some really good art.  Also for people who CAN talk to their games, it would be cool.

No more gimmicky than most games, to be honest :P

I do understand that... but it seems like a good game, and people who have tried it have said that the voice recognition is superb.

Miscellaneous software and concepts can now be submitted, and you can create widgets to link to pages for games, even if it isn't for your project!
