everything that can go wrong goes wrong, because the organizers are so incompetent that they can pass for evil, and i believe there is a 10% chance of scam.

A first year con by a bunch of tumblr users (nothing to do with official tumblr itself) that crashed and burned due to either extremely poor management or was a outright scam.

On the topic of the BDSM 101 panel, the rumors about public masturbation and participants contracting STDs are false. The original posters have announced that it was a hoax and deleted the related posts.

The fact that we couldn't tell it was a hoax says something about how well this went.

DashCon has yet to release an official statement, as they need "a day or two to regroup" and "put together something eloquent, accurate, and informative."
