Storm already knows this, but I lost my mother, yesterday afternoon.  People have been very supportive, and I can understand that religion can offer a lot of comfort to some people.  But I tend to hang out on the internet, and have this wariness of organized religion.

So I'm sharing with y'all, and chatting with my friends online.  Virtual hugs are always welcome.  :)

She went in with a kidney infection, and she died from all her organs shutting down on her.  It started with her liver.

Yes - celebrate her life by sharing about her. It actually helps the grieving process to acknowledge how she contributed to you being who you are, and what you care about. She continues her existence by more than just having given birth to or adopted you.

No platitudes from me - I've lost both parents. It is never easy, but you will adjust, and you will become stronger because of their love for you.
