During an interview on Fox News Sunday, Cruz explained his plan to defund the Department of Homeland Security if President Barack Obama refuses to rescind an executive action that grants legal status to millions of undocumented immigrants.
Fucking idiot.
For his part, Cruz argued that his 2013 government shutdown was responsible for Republicans winning control of the Senate in 2014.

DHS isn't always a Tea Party pet. The nuttier Alex Jones types thought that a $50billion ammo purchase by the DHS last year was (in addition to really being $2trillion) part of a plan by the government to lock the Patriotic Christians in FEMA Concentration Camps in case of a social or economic collapse.
