I understand that the term had a different meaning back in the day but dude...word's meaning change over the years.  Trying to reverse change like that is just....well stupid.

This winter we're planning to burn some faggots and actually get some use out of our fireplace. Though, full-size faggots would be a little big. Meh, we'll chop them up.

Also, I think there's a few mainpage quotes from dumbasses trying to take the word "gay" back, as well as the rainbow.

I'm bored enough; wanna take the cross back from them? After all, people were crucified before and after Jesus supposedly was... the cross is not inherently a Xian symbol.

Reminds me of the time I was about nine or ten and wearing some fluorescent rainbow leggings and t-shirt* to visit my -great-great-grandaunt in hospital. She told me I looked quite gay, I looked at her, and my Mum had to sheepishly explain that 'gay' meant something else these days... and then I told her I knew what she meant by it.

*It was the early 1990s and my mother put me in fluoro stuff so she wouldn't lose me.

Wouldn't rebranding the term gay as happy be a benefit to the homosexual community (and counter all the gay=terrible propaganda)?  I don't think the fundies have thought this one through.....must be too desperate to think clearly.
