it all boils down to a fight over renaming a park in memphis, TN and the KKK went all protest-like on it, against the general consensus. hearing the kkk get interviewed was chilling.

Did you even watch the documentary? The clan held a small rally of around 10-15 of them, and they needed to be completely walled off by riot cops to keep the hoards of anti-KKK protesters from kicking their heads in. Basically, half the population is just waiting for an excuse to smear the inside of their heads across the pavement. I think even their inbred little minds realise that starting any violence would be the last thing they ever do.

True, they are smart enough to still have some sense of self preservation.

But if they were really really committed, maybe even as diehard as al Queda, then that self preservation probably would get overridden. Also, its members need to be like Third World desperate to even consider killing and dying for their cause.

If you head over to the Southern Poverty Law Centre's Hatewatch website you'll see that people who call themselves klansmen aren't exactly averse to doing that.

But yeah, they do seem to like their funny little titles.
