"Do you mind?" Gars is going to shudder a bit, walking into the center area, staring right at Audien's... gruesome act. He wouldn't object to the bodies being thrown into the pit trap, but having that head ripped off like that... disgusting, really.

How much time left in the day do we have? Also, anyone injured?

It is about 3 in the afternoon.

The goblins were wearing leather armor, and each one had a Small-sized longbow and scimitar (usable as the equivalent of a Medium shortbow and kukri). Each one also had a Small-sized wooden buckler (too small for any of you to use). The weapons are unusual for goblins, who would normally be equipped with less damaging ones.

In addition to the above items and the potion, you find the following in the pit trap, among remains of previous victims (all items mentioned are Medium-sized)

Climber's kit
Masterwork light crossbow
Longsword
Artisan's tools
Light wooden shield

Earrings
Three colorful banded stones (two pink/white, one green/black)
Red gemstone

Aven coughs a bit as Ironbite trots sedately back towards him, obviously quite pleased with his performance.

"Could use a bit of healing.  That was a big hit I took."  Ironbite cocks his head at Aven as he then proceeds to lick his own wounds.  "Oh and Ironbite as well.  Little guy earned it this fight."

Audien strides towards the newcomer, his trophy in hand.

Caladur walks over to Aven and Ironbite and, calling upon his occult powers, touches them.

That kind of stuff isn't covered by the rules and tends to be ignored by most groups I've played with, so no rolls are necessary.

I'm sorry guys, I'm gonna have to bow out, if it's still possible. There's just too much going on at the moment, and I can't sit down and concentrate for any length of time. Again, very sorry. If anything needs to be done to help things out, I'll do what I can.

In that case, I'll just retcon the last fight so that "Gars" was never there (he didn't really affect things much regardless). Instead of 333 XP, each of you gets 400 XP.

As soon as you're able to play, you're certainly welcome. You can jump in later if you want; just make sure you level your character to match the party at that point.

Meanwhile, the rest of you are wondering not only about the goblin attack but also who this mysterious dwarf is. Remember, Audien does not know the party, and they do not know him.
