You are aware we have this thing called Freedom of Speech right?  You can say whatever the hell you feel like and won't get in trouble for what you said.  But there can be consequences to what you say however.

Ironbite-such as calls for resignation.

How is this man getting away without so much as a fine? The douchecanoe did say that that he wanted to do a human cleansing (I'm not gonna say ethnic, but judging where he is, I can guess the majority on medicaid are blacks and hispanics), isn't this getting near hate-speech levels?

In more enlightened countries, people don't get fined for saying stupid shit. But I digress.

This is a glimpse of the end result of the push by Republicans and Libertarians to privatize welfare. It's not about who can do welfare more efficiently, but instead about how ultra-rich fucks have a bug up their ass about being forced to give money to the dirty poors without strings attached. That last part is important; if the money was handed over under private contract, the benefactor could attach all sorts of terms directly relating to how they think the impoverished should live their lives. This includes servitude or sterilization if the benefactor so desires (and we know many of them do); after all, if you don't want voluntary sterilization, you can refuse aid and look somewhere else. Like random drug tests for employees, we could expect nearly all such contracts to contain similar odious terms so that poor people wouldn't really have a choice.

Our present welfare system, toothless as it may be, doesn't let the wealthy elite do that, and that makes them furious.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.
