RWC 2015
« on: October 07, 2015, 11:31:49 pm »
Ok so the Rugby World Cup has been going for a few weeks and we don't have a thread for it. Now while the Kiwis have still got to be favourites, there has been some furore with it being the first time the host nation being knocked out during the pool matches. England have been knocked out by losing to both Wales and Australia.

It's going to be  cracking World Cup.

Man, I'll bet the organisers are fucking pissed. The world cup hasn't even kicked off and already their biggest potential source of ticket sales has been knocked out.

Yeah it is going to cost the tournament a bucketload of lucre. But they have no one to blame but themselves. That's what you get for putting teams that a week before the start were ranked 2, 3,  and 4 respectively in the one pool.

Also an English Player (Danny Cipriani) said before the game against Australia that not one Australian would make the English Team. Little bit too much hubris there.

If there was ever a team to fail that hard, it would be England.

OK so Australia scraped through in a nailbiter, I'm tired having got up to watch it and I think I may have given myself a heart attack. All the Northern hemisphere teams are out. The real surprise was how good the Argentinians were. So the teams remaining are the Rugby Championship a Southern Hemisphere only affair.

The All Blacks were clinical and brilliant and despite the Wallabies winning the Rugby Championship this year it has got to be NZ's final to lose. Huge two games coming up. Hopefull Craig Joubert won't be near either of them.

My dad was ridiculously happy about that match.

I don't actually care who wins the next match, but I might pretend I do if it makes this thread more entertaining.

Argentina looked really good. It's going to be a hell of a semifinal against us.

Ok so Australia turned up and closed out the game against a very courageous and enterprising Argentinian team. They didn't make it through to the Final this time but no one will be surprised to see them in the Semi-Final in four years time.

What was amazing that in both semi-finals the losing team despite being quite close did not score any tries. This sets up a huge final between NZ and Australia. Here's hoping that Australia can pull off a huge tournament win. You would not however bet any money against the All Black juggernaut.

I should finally finish up this thread.

The all blacks won.
