Al Qaeda Fun Day for Kids?

I don't know what to say. If it were any other non-terrorist organization, I would see nothing strange, but ...

Not surprising. Reminds me of fascist soup kitchens.
I’ve grown overfed, unconcerned and comfortably numb
Kept busy indulging in the pleasures of the wealthy
Oh, someone make me afraid of what I’ve become!

They've finally gone well and truly insane. I mean, their "training videos" look like Summer Camp but with more explosives, but this...

Al-Qaeda, YOU ARE INSANE.

It's nice to see they're such a major threat that justifies billions of dollars being spent.

You're pretty much reacting how they want people to. Hate organizations have been doing charitable work to build trust in the communities and win over hearts and minds for a long time now.

Pretty much.

Hitler didn't take control of Germany because he was a power-hungry zealot who wanted to exeterminate three kinds of people.  Hitler took control of Germany because he pretty much fixed other people's screw ups and got the people's trust.

This isn't a "Sympathy for Hitler" moment by the way, this is a "Bad people do good things but this doesn't change the fact that they are bad people" moment.

Thanks for making the Nazi comparison so I didn't have to.

Should I have brought up instead that the rich people who screw over the rest of everyone else with lobbying and such are also very generous with their donations to charity?

Godwin's Law doesn't make any judgement on the validity of an argument though. It's just an observation.

Indeed.  A comparison to the Nazis is only a poor argument when it's just there to appeal to emotions.  Here, it's a perfectly valid comparison.

Whether or not you feel the war on terror should have been prosecuted, or prosecuted under the terms it has been, Al Qaeda is a murderous organization that has done truly heinous things.  The fact that they hold the occasional picnic does not render them somehow harmless or admirable.

Actually, I was saying they're incompetent idiots. Basically, they're pathetic at this point. Evil, but pathetic. Like Saturday Morning Cartoon villains.

Funny thing about that fact, though. By far the most generous donations they give to are opera houses, ballet companies, symphony orchestras, museums, colleges, etc. Basically, things that positively effect their social lives and give their egos a boost with a commemorative plaque on a building. It's relatively rare for the average wealthy person to give huge gifts to the likes of OXFAM or the Gates Foundation.

I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

Sounds like a blast.

This concludes my Insensitive Remark for the Day.
