I'm guessing Fox News will describe the event as "a meeting of two anti-family socialists".

Meanwhile (read this in my local paper, so unfortunately I don't have a link) there's a hullabaloo that there's two transgender activists and a gay-rights activist on the guest list, so people are accusing the President of attempting to pressure to Pope into changing Catholic doctrine on things like marriage.

It doesn't concern you, Sister, that kind of absolutist view of the universe? Right and wrong determined solely by a single all-knowing, all powerful being whose judgment cannot be questioned and in whose name the most horrendous acts can be sanctioned without appeal?

Like DC traffic isn't messed up enough already! Here comes the Pope to screw it up more. At least he was in a car that's easy to park down there.

Pope Francis: My goodness, this traffic is terrible. Cardinal Soandso, what is the cause?

Cardinal Soandso: SATAN!!

Pope Francis: I forgot what country I'm visiting. Thank you for reminding me.

Don't the Catholics have a tendency to get shot if they go into the white house? I mean look at what happened to Kennedy. Obama already has enough haters and if someone even implies that he might be Catholic he won't live to the end of the week.

Which is funny since Catholics and Protestants share so many pet issues
And when we're done soul searching,
And we carry the weight and die for a cause.
Is misery made beautiful
Right before our eyes.

Mercy be revealed, or blind us where we stand?

BUT IF THE PRESSIDENT IS CATHOLIC THEN HE MIGHT LET HIS RELIGION DICTATE WHAT HE DOESSS!

Which would be bad. USA needs a president who puts God above everything else and makes his decisions based on the commands of an Abrahamic god, not some "Papist" or "Muslim" who tries to subvert the holy constitution of USA which was dictated by God. As has already been explained several times the president is not allowed to violate constitution and the God given rights that US citizens have and therefore we need a "good Christian" president who violates the constitution and bans same-sex marriage and other "false laws" that go against the teachings of the holy Bible as written by King James.

Confused? So am I.

Brilliant!
