Speaking of which, I recall a recent Mallard Fillmore comic strip about Obama talking about being the one responsible for killing Bin Laden.
File that under worst especially since he really never brought it up that much

File it under worst because Mallard Fillmore.

Well, to be fair, he did bring it up on the one year anniversary, and got chastised for bragging and taking credit over the Navy SEALS from the right wing.

My dad and I figure the correct humble response involves an aircraft carrier just off shore, a flight suit, and a giant banner that says "mission accomplished".

Agreed.  The art style is nice, but...Mallard Fillmore.

Except that's bullshit. Greek productivity isn't lower than the average.

I know Germany's economy is working all right, these days, but I've yet to see any article explain why. Heck, I've seen studies saying, based upon average hours worked, US citizens are only behind the Japanese on the world stage in regards to working hard.

I know Germany's economy is working all right, these days,

Massive trade surpluses, maintained through internal devaluation in Germany (sabotage of other countries). Basically, the rest of Europe is subsidising Germany.

Look at where Greece is, second behind (South I assume) Korea.

Also, Germany have already went through their austerity measures.

Tax evasion is like a national pastime in Greece or something. The government has taxes in place, but barely enforces them at all, all the while continuing to spend money on other things like pensions. Also, isn't their economy run by the Greek Orthodox Church or something?

Except that's bullshit. Greek productivity isn't lower than the average.

The comic is based on a survey, which asked the citizens of several European nations to name the country they believed to be the most “hard-working.” Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic were all unanimous: it was the Germans. Only the Greeks dissented. Greece was the hardest-working country, they said.

Link to survey: http://www.pewglobal.org/2012/05/29/european-unity-on-the-rocks/

Links to articles about the Greek economic situation and its roots:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/18/world/europe/greeces-bloated-bureaucracy-defies-efforts-to-cut-it.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

And the problem isn't that the Greek people wouldn't work as hard as others, the two biggest problems are tax evasion and their bloated public sector bureucracy where the employees get paid extra for showing up to work and it is almost impossible to fire anyone and they have resisted all efforts to save money from public sector expenses...
