Bill O'reilly slams Sandra Fluke
« on: March 07, 2012, 01:04:49 pm »
And shows what a complete asshole he is.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcBCSe9ZfK4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcBCSe9ZfK4</a>

-He makes a comparison between contraceptives and football practice.  He argues that if one should be payed for with "our money", than his should be paid for.

-He says "I should not have to pay for her to have sex".

-He goes on about how this is a freedom issue and how his "freedom" is under attack by this.

-In the second segment, he has two women (one for fluke and one against her).  He constantly interrupts the one for Fluke before she can even make her points.

-He then talks to the blonde conservative bitch about how this generation has a sense of "entitlement" and how when they were kids, they worked for everything!

I can't believe I ever used to listen to this jerkass.

He knows better.

A. It's about private insurance that she already paid for.

B. Where is all the complaint and outrage about Viagra being covered?

Men are fucking slut bags! And that's ok! I want to hear some of these commentators start calling men the whores we are!

*checks wikipedia*

Looks like it was.  Not that it's surprising for FOX News to not do the research.

Wow, I never knew that.

Honestly, as a man, I think most of these complaints about how hard men have it are overblown.  With a few exceptions (dumb pussywhipped husbands being the norm in commercials and played for laughs), it just sounds like people are complaining about women getting equal treatment after all these years.  Only conservative traditionalists would get worked up over someone getting help with something.

Fuckers.

Now wages count as 'entitlement', and companies should have the right to deny them if you use them for something they don't like.

O'Reilly is not terribly bright.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.

He's either stupid, lazy, or a liar...probably all three.

This. The problem with O'Reilly isn't that he's stupid -- he's certainly no genius, but he's not a complete moron, either -- it's that he's willfully ignorant and not above intellectual dishonesty for the sake of stubbornness. He's perfectly capable of understanding why these arguments are idiotic, he's just too much of an arrogant, stubborn ass to shut the hell up and actually do the research, think things through, and then form an opinion or, god forbid, admit that he was wrong about something. Instead, he hops on the bandwagon so he can have something to rant about.

Let's not give this guy an excuse for his bullshit by assuming he's merely stupid.

Yeah, I will say I'd like to see a commercial where both men and women are played as strong, witty and confident; commercial makers seem to only understand the smart/dumb dynamic. So if there's a smart man, dumb woman, and vice versa.

That said, I don't find it discriminatory - just stupid. Kind of like O RLY in this segment.

That's O'Reilly's standard MO when engaged in debate. He interrupts the guest mid-sentence to twist their words, makes a few eloquent but ultimately vacuous statements, and then cuts the interview off to pat himself on the back for a while.

That is one of the Fox illusions.  Get a democrat on, ignore him (look at their mass effect story and watch them ignore Geoff) and say we're balanced.

Actually, I believe that they claimed that when they say "Fair and Balanced" they mean "balancing out the liberal media by being just as conservative".

Or something like that.  It's trickery of words.

If they were anything close to "Fair and Balanced" then they wouldn't have to say it.

Of course, they probably just came up with that spiel when they were called out for being so overtly biased. It's like a kid saying, "No, no, I meant he was PHAT! Not fat! PHAT!" after someone tells the teacher that he's been picking on people.
