Even funnier are the conspiracy theorists in the comments section.  One of them even claims that the bankers funded Communism to control the world's markets.

Don't blame me, I voted for Paul Sadler.

And now I'm even more angry that this assclown won instead of someone who has sanity boggling in his head. But then again, welcome to Texas, where if you're not "conservative," you don't stand a chance in hell unless you're from a rural area with a majority Hispanic population (like El Paso).

Am I the only one who doesn't mind paying taxes? If it means my state roads are in good condition, my bridges aren't going to collapse, and the cops and fire department come when I need them, I'll gladly pay.

I recall a survey done in British Columbia some years back--they'd be fine with tax increases if they were confident it would be spent wisely (which they weren't).

Wow... I really like this quote. What the Tea Party are just a bunch of spongers who don't want to repay anyone. Of course, they also fail to understand why it is so important to keep everything and everyone in good shape, just because in their minds, it's "Socialism" (which is also an "evil" word, in their minds).
