In other news, pig farmers frantically try to gather up their suddenly-airborne livestock.

Between this and the "Evanglicals Discussing Giving up on Same Sex Marriage Opposition" thread, are the fundies finally starting to pull their heads out of their asses?

I saw a little bit about this on RR.  Of course, they think Robertson has flipped his wig, and I think he's now on their "Apostate" list or something.  I'd have to go back there to be sure... but I really don't feel like it right now.

Holy mother of balls, that fucker is making a god damned trollface!  What the fuck is with the sudden wave of sanity?

Cthulhu is coming to eat us all, and that is my only rational explanation.

That is for the mayans. Cthulhu wants to wakes up at 12th because he wants to eat at least some of us before the world ends. He is kinda like a lazy school kid. He promised to eat us all but that lazy bastard just sleeps and doesn't get up untill the last possible moment, just like the kid that does not even start his school project untill the night before it should be finished, probably just making some half assed attempt and then calling it a day.

Bah, damn lazy Cthulhu. I bet he won't even have time to eat half of humanity before the time runs out.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

The end of the world happens just in time for fundies to stop being terrible?

The material needs a defender more than the spiritual. If there is a higher power, it can defend itself from the material. Thus denotes 'higher power'.

21st December 2012 - Mayan Calendar ends.
22nd December 2012 - Mayans buy new Calendar......... Also fundies claim that te world did not end because god* answered their prayers.

* Small "g" intended, but then again they don't specify which of the 2877 "one true" man-made gods they are talking to whilst staring at the ceiling.

Mayan Calender LONG COUNT 13 ends on 12/21/12. Actually, they found that they have an unfinished long count 13 calender, so they just never finished their next calender. If I remember correctly, The world ends every 16 long counts, so we're no where near close to the Mayan end of the world.

Oh my gosh!  This must mean oxygen has reached Robertson's brain.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.
