A Valley Without Wind is quite an interesting, procedurally generated
Metroid Vania, game that is still in alpha. Randomly generated levels and some unexpected
brutal difficulty early then later on.
As expected this game still needs work,
lots and lots of work.
A massive graphical, animation overhaul to be completed sometime soon so stay tuned folks. This story is also a work in progress too.
I was partially responsible for the 1.206 version upgrade! Secret missions now reliably show up in secret mission rooms! W00t.UPCOMING STORY LEAK TIME!

The Deep is quasi-medieval, from the early-1st ancient century. Basically just after the intra-Ilari war that happened after the Lightbringer returned to his master, but still some of the fallen Ilari clutching to the main plane of Environ before their little "enclaves" fell entirely into the unseen world. So basically you'd be adventuring in those enclaves, which would be a Really, Really Bad Idea (tm).
Lava Flats are prehistoric and include dinosaurs, etc. There is not a human-known date for this, but it is from the "Wild Garden" era before the Lightbringer was sent to get things started on the sentient side. Anywhere from 20th antetenebran century back to... whenever.
