I think it's confusing because he was never in a closet to begin with.  He just didn't broadcast it until now.

Stunned? No. Surprised? Yes.

As for my opinion of CNN, I just consider them to be the "quantity over quality" network. Are they good reporters? No. Can I turn on their channel and expect to get news? Yes.
