Aye, you really should. To my knowledge those old cartridge based games have battery-fed memory for save files. It's 2012 now, those batteries aren't going to hold out for much longer, particularly for the older systems.

It's been a few years since I've had them out.  Not that long, but I do check them every so often.  Last time I had them out, all the cart-based games worked.  Even Legend of Zelda (NES) still had my first file on it where I beat the game the first time.  Never saved over it.  Same with Link to the Past (SNES).
If they ever were lost or corrupted, I'd be a little bummed, but I know stuff like that can't last forever, what with the batteries being so old.

Good thing that happened today:  I got a haircut.  I am much cooler.  If just literally instead of also figuratively.

We had a load of Mills&Boon romance paperbacks come in to work today, so I spent the morning amusing myself by putting price stickers over key words in the titles to make them much more interesting.  EG, 'A Night of ****ing', 'A **** at the Altar', Staking His ****', etc.

Well, it kept me entertained, anyway :P

That is awesome.  Unless M&B is the "clean" sort of romance, in which case it is false advertising and you should be ashamed.

I should have been ashamed anyway.  But I was too busy giggling like a schoolchild.

Is it bad that when I tried to imagine what would go in the blank for "Staking His ****", the first word that came to mind was "Vampire"?

Yay, new mouse. My old one was slowly dying. It made drawing pretty difficult.

Turns out my wife did get the autograph.  However, since she has a bad knee and hip (car wreck when she was younger), she couldn't stand in line for long, so she paid extra (and did some begging) to get it mailed to her.

Edited: Spoilered because I didn't realize it was going to be that big.  (The image, people, get your heads out of the gutter!)

M&B actually have a line of paranormal romances - ghosts, vampires, werewolves etc.  In fact they cater to just about every taste these days (except the obviously illegal).
