I don't see the point, most of the school population there was Christian anyway.

Because it is also an amulet that will protect them from fire.

Usually the Gideon Bibles distributed on street corners are really small-lightweight things with soft covers and cheap, lightweight paper pages. Oftentimes, I have seen them containing only the New Testament. They wouldn’t hurt that much.

Once there was this old guy in a trenchcoat who would walk around the school campus, handing out Gideon Bibles with fluorescent orange covers.
Yeah, those would be the ones. I have also seen the same ones with green covers as well.

According to this page, which I only found two minutes ago, they come in several other colors and are so coded depending on where they are supposed to be given out. If I remember correctly, there are a few pages with suggested passages to read. I am guessing that those suggestions may differ based on those codes. You know, in order to create a sense of applicability.

The point was to change the "most" into "all" through the power of peer pressure.

I remember those! I used them to hit people while shouting, "The power of Christ compells you!"
